The Moriah middle school students had fun writing cards to soldiers in the IDF wishing them a Chag Purim Sameach and expressing their support and appreciation for all that the soldiers sacrifice and do for Israel and consequently for all of Am Yisrael. The students also had the opportunity to show off their creativity in a mask design contest that was organized by the FIDF in which each student had the opportunity to design a mask for IDF soldiers.
There were several categories in the contest, including Weirdest, Blingiest, Purim-iest, Funniest, Cleverest and FIDF-iest Mask. Moriah proudly had several finalists in the contest and was thrilled that sixth grader, Kayla Schanzer, was the winner in the FIDF-iest Mask category! Moriah is very proud of its students to have connected with Medinat Yisrael in this manner. The masks created by hand decorate the hallways; others were designed digitally.
