Moriah nursery students had a wonderful time learning about פירות הדר (citrus fruit)! The children discovered that these fruits flourish on trees, offering not only yummy flavors but also the makings of delicious juice. Oranges, pomelos, limes, lemons and grapefruits were all savored during their exploration.

The children delved into the Hebrew vocabulary, distinguishing between חמוץ (sour) and מתוק (sweet). They also gained insights into the versatile uses of citrus fruits. Hands-on activities included making refreshing orange juice, zesty lemonade and a scrumptious orange cake.

As the young learners engaged in these experiences, they also discovered that the brachot accompanying these fruits change based on their various forms.
