Moriah Participates in Global Hour of Code

Last week Moriah students worked on their coding skills during the Hour of Code, a global movement designed to introduce students in over 180 countries in 45 different languages to the skill and science of coding. Students work through different levels of the program to create their own computer game. For example, students in seventh grade had to complete 12 levels of activities to create their own Minecraft game, making the characters perform specific actions in order to move on to the next level. This is an important skill to have these days for the workforce and was a fun activity for all of the students who enjoyed playing the games, as well as the feeling of accomplishment when they earned their certificate of completion.
