There may be days off from school this past Friday, but there are no days off from tefillah and Torah for Moriah lower and middle school students! The kids participated in a special yom iyun program at Congregation Ahavath Torah. The program began with student-led tefillah followed by the opportunity to hear from local Englewood rebbim: Rabbi Block, Rabbi Kanikov, Rabbi Poupko and Rabbi Reichman. Each spoke about a different lesson and message about Shabbat. Parents and children being given the opportunity to learn together made for a very special day. The program ended with two wrap up shiurim, one given by Morah Chaya Devora for the elementary school and one by Rabbi E. for middle school.
