(MTA) The MTA Lions basketball teams have gotten off to a great start so far this season. Opening the season at home last week with a JV/varsity doubleheader vs. JEC, the Lions took home two victories. The JV team controlled the game from the opening tip-off and won 75-44. The varsity game saw the Lions trailing for the majority of the contest but after mounting a furious comeback in the fourth quarter, MTA pulled out a one-point win off a Sruly Pariser buzzer-beater that sent the fans into a frenzy.
