MTA Freshman Hike is a Soaring Success

On Wednesday, September 10th, the entire freshman class–MTA’s Class of 2018–went on a hike in Norvin Green State Forest to help kick off the school year. The students were thrilled to spend time together on the inaugural trip, and to become better-acquainted with their classmates, who hail from across North America. The boys trekked for several hours, observing breathtaking panoramas and incredible flora and fauna, all the while searching for natural “mah rabu moments.” The trip comes on the heels of the development of MTA’s famed “Mountain Lions” outdoors club, which traverses mountains and parks around the tri-state area.

After exploring the wild for three hours, the group made its way to a nearby park for several hours of serious football, soccer, and frisbee, followed by a barbecue. The boys then lined up in the shape of “MTA” on the soccer field as a staff member flew above in an airplane and snapped pictures. The boys were thrilled to see the “heights” of commitment from their faculty, and are eager to succeed in the coming school year!
