MTA Hosts Annual Freshman Family Breakfast

This past Sunday MTA welcomed parents and relatives of their freshmen, along with the freshman talmidim to a special breakfast. This event is usually a fun, light event that helps the new high schoolers bond with their classmates, and gives the opportunity for parents to meet as well.

This year, MTA pivoted from their usual agenda, in light of the ongoing challenges that Klal Yisrael is facing with the situation in Israel. Parents joined their sons for a very nice breakfast, a warm welcome from Freshman Grade Dean Rabbi Eli Cohn, and an opportunity to write letters of condolence to a former faculty member who unfortunately lost a daughter in the recent terror attacks. Following that, Rabbi Daniel Konigsberg introduced MTA’s latest initiative of completing Shas Mishnayos in memory of those lost and in the zechus for the safe return of our chayalim. Parents were able to join their sons in learning towards this goal, and everyone participated beautifully, allowing MTA to increase their Torah learning further.

MTA is working hard to do their part with increased tefilla, Torah learning and chesed opportunities, and it is being met with an overwhelmingly positive response.
