MTA offers many extra learning opportunities in addition to shiur, including a pre-Shacharit iyun tefillah chaburah, a daily Mishna chaburah, night seder and so much more. A very special group of juniors took advantage of these extra learning initiatives and spent the past few months learning together every morning during breakfast and completed Masechet Megilla. On Thursday, May 6, they celebrated this tremendous accomplishment with the entire yeshiva at a siyum during mishmar. “These amazing talmidim are an inspiration to all of us. Thank you for showing us how to maximize our time and teaching us what we can accomplish if we use all of our opportunities,” said Associate Principal Rabbi Shimon Schenker. The siyum included recorded divrei bracha from Yeshiva University Roshei Yeshiva Rav Hershel Schachter and Rabbi Yaakov Neuburger as well as Rabbi Paysach Krohn and divrei Torah from the talmidim who were mesayem. Everyone enjoyed a delicious seuda, featuring Chickies.
