After a tough season last year the MTA Lions are poised to come back strong thanks to a core of returning Lions and a key free agent acquisition. The roster consists of Yehuda Buchbinder, Binyamin Buchbinder, Yehuda Colton, Yitzi Felman, Zachary Fish, Marc Giahn, Eli Gruenburg, Aryeh Halpert, Meir Jacoby, Chaim Kazlow, Josh Klein, Daniel Libesman, Shlomo Meisels, Aaron Saxon, Chaim Weinsten and Josh Zyskind. The team will compete in the Shalhevet basketball tournament in LA as well as the Sarachek tournament. MTA, led by coaches Shlomo Weisberg and Mark Wiesel, have high hopes for this upcoming season and are looking to bring home a championship.

The team is holding a learn-a-thon to raise money to enable them to travel and attend a tournament. The players are learning Gemarah Chagiga and are looking for sponsors to pledge money per Daf.
