The MTA robotics teams ended their season on a very high note, after one team made it to the First Tech Challenge East Super Regional. After the East Super Regional was over, the future team captains, Dovi Pfeiffer, Akiva Richman and Netanel Tager, completed another robot to see if the juniors could lead the building of a robot on their own, with little help from the current senior captains. On Wednesday, they headed to Flatbush for the Yeshiva Robotics Competition. laying against Yeshiva of Flatbush and Magen David, MTA’s robotics teams finished in first and second places. While the success of the one robot was expected, the play of the second newer robot, which finished in second place, was a complete surprise. In the short three week period they had to build a robot from scratch, they made one that did very well. After the greatest year ever for MTA’s robotics teams, they are set for future success with all they have learned.
Both teams will also present their robots at the Center for Initiatives in Jewish Education Innovation Conference, the largest Jewish day school STEM and robotics event on May 7, at the New York Hilton.
