On Motzei Shabbos, the Lions faced the Frisch Cougars in the first of their two matchups this season. Frisch scored the first few buckets of the game, but the Lions quickly gained their composure and took a small lead headed into the second quarter. Led by the great scoring and rebounding of Eli Lipner (10 points), the Lions had a comfortable nine point lead at the half.
Unfortunately, after playing just two minutes in the second half, Eli Lipner had to leave the game with an injured arm. After that, the Lions had trouble scoring but still retained a 38-35 lead after the third.
In the fourth, Frisch pulled away as MTA had trouble breaking their press and scoring. The final score was 47-40, Frisch.
