NaShira, the Passaic Women’s Choir, has been delighting members and audiences for over two years. Led by veteran choir director Batya Harris, it was founded as a musical and social outlet for local women and also performs for seniors. The choir will be appearing at the Daughters of Miriam on Sunday, August 21, at 11 a.m.
Weekly meetings consist of vocal and bodily warm-ups, teaching of the melody and harmonies (note-reading not necessary), and singing the entire, beautiful piece once all voices have been learned. Members have a blast, enjoy a night out, meet new friends and bring joy to others—what more could you seek in a choir?
Women of all ages (high school and up) are invited to join. See why they’ve said, “It’s so much fun!,” “I go through choir withdrawal when we don’t meet” and “I’m moving and I must find a choir in my new neighborhood!”
Ladies, come meet your neighbors, sing your heart out, and feed your soul—it may just become the highlight of your week.
