Rabbi David Felsenthal, a recognized leader in the Orthodox world, and his wife, Chani, will be honored Sunday, June 7, by the Young Israel of Passaic-Clifton. Reception begins at 6:30 p.m., followed by a gala dinner at 7:30 p.m. at the Agudas Yisroel, 262 Terhune Ave., Passaic.
Parents of six children, Rabbi Dave (as he is affectionately known) and Chani have each contributed greatly to the broader Jewish community. David ranks among the top leaders in Jewish outreach, having held important positions at Aish Hatorah, NCSY and, currently, at the Orthodox Union (OU).
A highly-praised educator, Chani works in the resource room at Yeshiva Ketana, engaging students across a broad spectrum of academic and social backgrounds. In our shul, Chani plays a critical role in ensuring ongoing learning opportunities for women, including the Rosh Chodesh with the Rebbetzin program and YIPC’s popular annual Shavuos women’s shiurim.
“The Young Israel of Passaic-Clifton is deeply honored to celebrate the contributions and achievements of our illustrious members, Rabbi David and Chani Felsenthal.” says Rabbi Yaakov Glasser. “Their contributions to both our local community and the broader Jewish world are renowned. We expect a large turnout to celebrate our shul’s growth with Rabbi Dave and Chani, who have been central to propelling the momentum of growth of our YIPC community.”
