In honor of Rosh Chodesh Adar, Netivot students arrived at a school transformed into an intergalactic wonderland! Teachers greeted students as spaced themed characters such as aliens, astronauts and stars. The children enjoyed an outer space glow in the dark carnival led by the middle schoolers. From booths like “Board the UFO “to “Dodge the Space Meteor” everyone had a blast! The fair concluded with a lesson incorporating the midah of the month, bitachon atzmi, trust in self. Students examined their fingerprints identifying their uniqueness and pressed their prints on a star; “Like a Star, I’m unique.” The discussion went on to include Chazal’s phrase, “bishvili nivrah haolam, the world was created for me.” Students stood proudly in a superhero pose as Bene Friedman’s “Bishvili” filled the room.
