Netivot Shalom and Eztion Foundation to Mark First Yahrtzeit of Rav Aharon Lichtenstein zt”l

Congregation Netivot Shalom in cooperation with the Etzion Foundation invite the entire community to a special morning of learning in commemoration of the first Yahrtzeit of Moreinu VeRabeinu Rav Aharon Lichtenstein, zt”l on Sunday morning, May 8, Rosh Hodesh Iyar 5776.

The program will take place at Cong. Netivot Shalom, 811 Palisade Ave., Teaneck, NJ beginning with Shacharit at 8 a.m. followed by a light breakfast and two shiurim.

The shiurim in memory of Rav Lichtenstein will be delivered by his students, Rabbi Michael Taubes, rabbi of Cong. Zichron Mordechai and Rabbi Nathaniel Helfgot, rabbi of Cong. Netivot Shalom. “We are soon coming up on the conclusion of a year since the passing of this unique and saintly individual and Torah giant who had such a profound impact directly on thousands of students and more broadly on the entire Modern-Orthodox community,” shared Rabbi Helfgot, a close disciple of Rav Lichtenstein for many decades.
