Netivot’s lower elementary students began their study of space starting with the life cycle of a star. When beginning a new unit, they first have a lesson on the subject, then follow up with an independent assignment about the lesson and end with recording the assignment in their notebook. Students independently lay out cards that go through the different stages of a star starting with birth until the final stage. Using the same methodology, they continued their space study with learning about the planets and the solar system.
