Next Level Sports Flourishes in NJ

Just some of the raffle winners, money raised for Israel.

(Courtesy of Next Level Sports) Next Level Sports (NLS) is making a name for itself here in New Jersey. With sports programs flourishing in Monsey, its arrival here has been very much needed and welcomed by the parents.

Here are just a few of what parents are saying:

“Our daughter has loved playing basketball with Next Level Sports! She is learning great skills, sportsmanship and is having a great time.”

-Sarah Bram

“Coach Simon runs an awesome soccer program for all ages! Both of my twin boys and several of their friends have benefited from it greatly.”

– Natalie Akselrod

“My son was adamant about playing soccer this past fall. Coach Simon made sure that there would be a group for his age and made it happen. My son looked forward to playing every week. He gained confidence and skills that will help him continue to thrive! We are fortunate to have this program in Bergen County.”

-Anonymous parent

“My son was hesitant at first, but Coach Simon’s program has given him the skills and confidence to practice and play. It’s just the right mix of skill building and game time. Thank you! My son will be there again next session!”

-Leah H.

“Coach Simon runs his clinics with the intent to always teach new skills while being attentive and sensitive to the needs of each group and the individual.”

-Jen Sanders

“Coach Simon is able to make all sports and drills super fun for the kids. The players all have a great time!”

-Mordy

Coach Simon said, “We just finished an amazing fall season, and are gearing up for an exciting winter season (starting Feb. 4).” Discounted group rate ends Jan. 4.

Questions for the Coach

What’s the Next Level Sports (NLS) approach to sports?

Putting the fun and skill back into sports, we aim to deliver a high-level tailored program for the student in a conducive environment.

What’s next at NLS?

We hope to grow further here in New Jersey, with both soccer and basketball and for this winter season we’re introducing football for the younger grades. So we will see where that leads.

Will you be doing leagues?

I’m not sure, I know leagues have a big appeal in New Jersey, just hesitant on how to go about this. If I end up doing leagues, it will be some form of hybrid with skill or separate program to our current sports clinics (which I feel provide big value to both students and parents).

What’s your funniest experience in your 20+ years of coaching?

[Laughs] There’s two that stand out.

When I was tennis coaching in England, a parent asked me what she could expect from her three-year-old son in lessons. I turned to the boy who was chewing his tennis racket, so I replied “to get him to stop eating the tennis racket would be a good start.”

I asked a parent to have her son leave a testimonial for me, (best thing he enjoyed in our soccer group), and  he answered “his English accent.”

Last question, is there any way for a free open day or to trial your programs?

Depends on the season; last season we did open day and it proved very successful with sign ups. (I owe a big thank you to a parent from Noam for this). If we do this again for the winter season, then parents will see it advertised here (only date this could happen is Jan. 14).
