Noam 8B Ball and SAR Split Season Series With Noam Win

This past Monday night, the Noam Knights and the SAR Sting faced off in what some feel may be a preview of the championship, as these same teams have faced each other in their sixth and seventh grade championships in prior years. After a tough loss earlier in the season, the Noam Knights were looking to tie up the season with a win against the Sting. After both teams had a good first quarter, the teams were tied at 18. As the second quarter progressed, SAR looked like it was going to pull away with an incredible performance by Henry Mann, but the Knights kept pace and were only down by three going into halftime.

After halftime, the Knights came out strong and capitalized on many turnovers by the Stings. The Knights had great contributions from the offense as David Gellis had a season high 23 points alongside his teammate Noam Kinderlehrer, who had 18 points. The Knights were able to come back and close the game out with key free throws at the end by Aiden Sausen, who went 7-8 from the line. The final score was 65-54.
