(Reprinted from TAPinto) Bris Avrohom of Fair Lawn was filled to capacity to hear messages from the mayor, police chief and its rabbi in the wake of the Hamas terrorist attack in Israel this past weekend.

“Fair Lawn will always stand with the Jewish people and Israel,” Mayor Kurt Peluso said on October 10 to a crowd at Bris Avrohom of Fair Lawn. He condemned the terrorist attacks, repeating his remarks from the day before when he visited another Fair Lawn temple.

Police Chief Glen Cauwels reminded worshippers, “If you see something, say something.”

“Even if you don’t think there’s anything going on that’s nefarious, call the police anyway. The department would rather get calls that are safe than have to worry about it after the fact.”

Rabbi Mendel Zaltzman told several stories to the worshippers, spurring emotional reactions.

He commended the bravery of IDF (Israeli Defense Forces) soldiers who are on the front lines “defending Israel against Hamas.”
