PBL at Yeshivat He’Atid Initiates Consideration Nation

As part of school-wide initiative, students at Yeshivat He’Atid have been deeply involved in Project-Based Learning units. As part of professional development focused on PBL, teachers from each elementary school grade consulted with an expert in the field to design meaningful projects for their students.

Third graders took on the task of creating public service announcements aimed at raising awareness of a particular issue at school. Through integrated social studies, English language arts and math lessons, students related historical events centering on community cooperation to our school community today.

Students then identified a school-wide initiative: being considerate. They took surveys, generated a slogan and hashtags and created public service announcements in different media forms. The announcements will be shared with the entire school over the course of the next few weeks to provide the essential PBL requirement of having an authentic audience. Kol hakavod to Amanda Pransky, Debbie Engelmayer and their students for all the hard work!
