President Herzog Visits the Ohel

(Courtesy of Chabad) In a historic visit, Israel President Isaac Herzog and his wife, Michal, visited the Ohel, the resting place of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, of righteous memory. In Herzog’s first stop on his U.S. trip, this visit marked the first time the first couple of Israel visited the holy site. The president and his wife were welcomed by Rabbi Mendy Kotlarsky on behalf of Chabad headquarters. During the visit, the Herzogs prayed for the safe return of hostages held by Hamas, the well-being of Israel’s soldiers, and in memory of those who lost their lives.

“We are very moved to be here at the resting place of the Rebbe. We pray for good news, for the safe and speedy return of all the hostages,” said the president. “Chabad is an incredible organization doing incredible good throughout the world. I want to thank Rabbi Kotlarsky and Chabad leadership and I send strength to the shluchim for their heartfelt work,” he added.
