On Oct. 7, Yosef-Haim Ohana (Yosef Chaim ben Miriam), 24, heroically helped paramedics transfer the wounded at the Nova Music Festival into ambulances before attempting to flee. He was found by Hamas terrorists as he hid beside a car and was abducted and brought to Gaza. His parents are shomer Shabbat and didn’t know about the Hamas attack until Shabbat ended.
Yosef grew up in Kiryat Malachi and recently moved to Tel Aviv. He is the oldest of three brothers and loves cycling, camping and traveling around Israel. He is very independent, communicative and sociable, full of kindness and love for people.
“I miss him, and I pray that all the hostages and the missing, and my son, get back to us today,” said Miri ben Ami, Yosef’s mother. “That’s my wish.”
