Rain Doesn’t Dampen MTA Sukkos Simcha

On Thursday, October 1, the rain did not keep the simcha away from MTA students and rebbeim. Early in the evening, MTA Maggid Shiur and Assistant Rabbi at Congregation Beth Abraham Rabbi Tanchum Cohen hosted boys from the 12th grade, as well as alumni, for a Simchas Beis Hashoeva at his home.

Later that same evening, MTA freshmen headed to the home of Eva and Mordy (and Yoni) Rothberg for a special Simchas Beis Hashoeva with their rebbeim, and school leadership. The students enjoyed divrei Torah from MTA Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Michael Taubes, Associate Principal Rabbi Shimon Schenker, and ninth grade student Sammy Cohen. They were also led in a variety of ice breakers and games by Grade Dean/Mashgiach Rabbi Eli Cohn. Students enjoyed the opportunity to join together for ruach, fun and Torah.
