(Ma’ayanot sports) Last week the Ma’ayanot Rapids had their annual Chanukah pep rally. They started off with hype entrances from each of the 14 teams including our dance team and the faculty teams with run ins to requested songs and a slide show of team pics.
The Ma’ayanotes sang the national anthems while the whole school stood in the bleachers split in white and black. Townies wore white and OTC (Out of Town Club) wore black. The Rapids watched a progressive basketball game of four quarters with four different teams representing Townies and OTC. First quarter was a combo of Ma’ayanot and Sinai students. Second quarter was the JV basketball team, third quarter was the varsity bball team and for the fourth quarter the faculty competed. The dance team gave a performance at half time and candles were lit as the finale. OTC won the day, defending their championship from last year.
