In West Chester, Pennsylvania on June 6 and 7, the Rofeh Cholim Cancer Society (RCCS) Hockey Classic will be dropping the puck in support of cancer patients and their families. Since its inception four years ago, the RCCS Hockey Classic has grown in support and numbers, this year having 20 teams, 345 players and raising over $2 million for the over 2800 patients of RCCS.

Aside from featuring players from all over the United States, there is major representation from the immediate North Jersey Jewish community. There are three teams from the area with 61 players coming from the community. Many of the players are friends, neighbors and family all playing together to raise awareness and funds for RCCS.

This year, the RCCS Hockey Classic welcomed its newest sponsor, the National Hockey League. The potential of this partnership is limitless as it will provide the tournament and its players access to NHL stars, funds and connections that were once seen as impossible.
