The schedule will be as follows:

Drasha after 9 a.m. Shacharit: “Would That all of God’s People Were Prophets! On Discourse and Polarization in the Jewish Community.”

Pre-Mincha Shabbat afternoon at 6:45 p.m.: “Considering Religious Materialism: Challenges and Opportunities.” In this shiur we will offer lenses from both Chazal and contemporary sociologists of the complicated role that wealth can, and perhaps should, play in the contemporary religious community.

After Mincha (scheduled for 7:45 p.m.): “What Makes Legal Loopholes Religious?” In this session we will trace the conscious development of rabbinic ideology around the use of legal circumvention within the Mishnah, Tosefta and the Talmud.
