RKYHS students were privileged to celebrate and share Chanukah together with students from Kinor David, a musical yeshiva high school in Israel. Often referred to as the “Julliard of Israel” this unique yeshiva synthesizes music and Torah study where the students are able to seriously pursue their musical interests while learning Torah, as well as general studies. RKYHS students enjoyed a lively concert given by the talented Kinor David band, and the Israeli students spent the afternoon learning alongside their RKYHS counterparts.

The Israeli teens spent the weekend in the homes of RKYHS families in Livingston for an uplifting Shabbat together with the Synagogue of the Suburban Torah Center. The Kinor David band performed in a community-wide concert on motzei Shabbat following an Israel fair. Proceeds from the Shabbat Chanukah fair and concert went to One Israel Fund, for security projects in Neve Tzuf.
