As the school year at RKYHS wound down to a close, the school gathered for an end of the year assembly where they reflected on all that they did and accomplished the last year. Rabbi Mintz highlighted their Torah learning, both in and out of the classroom, and various accolades students received from a stellar undefeated season for the Torah Bowl team, three Chidon haTanach national finalists and a national winner, and top scorers in the country in the national bekiut program through Yeshiva University. Rabbi Mintz also inducted many students into the Torah Society, for which students participated in an extra 40 hours of outside the classroom Torah learning. Students Gabi Buch and Joseph Cohen delivered Divrei Torah as well, inspiring students to continue their Torah learning and davening over the summer.
The students enjoyed a rousing performance from the all new RKYHS choir. The choir which was formed this year and led by a professional choir director has been practicing and singing together all year long. Gary Berger handed out awards that were earned for high school juniors through various prestigious universities Including Yale, Princeton, Columbia, Brandeis and the University of Rochester. The program concluded with an end of the year video that highlighted the past year for RKYHS.
