The RKYHS sociology class partnered with neighboring Newark Academy’s foreign exchange program by hosting 12 high school students visiting from France. They spent the day in the school going from class to class and even attended the SEED speaker program that day with the RKYHS students. Participating in a foreign exchange program offered both groups of students a once-in-a-lifetime chance to enrich themselves by learning about a new culture as well as getting to know first-hand students from another country and learn the similarities and differences they share with fellow teenagers.
