In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the fifth graders worked very hard to learn about and put on a play, for our first graders, about the events leading up to the civil rights movement. After the play our first graders were led in a meaningful arts and crafts project about how all people, regardless of background or skin color, deserve to be treated with respect.
