RYNJ has developed a new tefillah initiative for the middle school girls entitled תפילה בכונה. The talmidot are committed to coming to davening promptly and staying in the classroom the entire time. They will not be speaking to friends at all during tefillah, and will look inside the siddur as they say the words. Everyday, girls are awarded special תפילה בכונה stickers and there will be a special treat each time the girls reach the impressive goal of 20 days if תפילה בכונה! Meanwhile, the early childhood program has been very busy learning about winter. Pre-K learned all about hibernation, creating paper towel roll bears to go into decorated paper bag caves.
