RYNJ 1B2 read the book “The Very Busy Spider” by Eric Carle and learned how this author creates the pictures for each of his books. They learned that Carle cuts and paints tissue paper to fit the sketches of his many characters thus creating a beautiful image. The class was inspired by his work and used tissue paper to create their very own Eric Carle characters. 1B2 had so much fun using this artistic technique and enjoyed learning about the creative process of one of their favorite authors.
