RYNJ students set out for a great day of hiking. The uphill trail provided just the right amount of healthy exercise and challenge. When the RYNJ MSG girls arrived near the top, at the beautiful lake, Mrs. Hagler, RYNJ school psychologist, spoke about how making positive affirmations can really change your mindset and help you feel successful. Her inspiring words set the tone to segue right into the recitation of tashlich. The breathtaking setting, in combination with the sight of all of the RYNJ talmidot saying tashlich together was quite moving. RYNJ is immensely proud of its middle school talmidot—their fine midot, their spirit of cooperation and sense of responsibility were on full display. What a kiddush Hashem! And what a great way to start off the new year.
