The RYNJ ECD is alive with sights and sounds of Elul and the coming New Year. The shofar can be heard blowing daily thanks to Rabbi Wachtel and many talented morot too! The children practiced the crying sounds of someone who is sorry and is apologizing with all of their heart! Music teacher Morah Kelli Teichman, has everyone singing songs about the kolot and prepping for a sweet new year. Students baked many seasonal yummy things, among them apple cake, apple kugel and round challos. Sorting, categorizing and taste-testing a variety of apples allowed math and science to play a role too. Through art, dance. song and amazing classroom experiences, RYNJ children are growing in their appreciation for this special time of year.
