Last week, the RYNJ second grade students spent time learning how to perform research. Guided by RYNJ Head Librarian Esther Schnaidman, our students learned the value of using a table of contents, index and glossary.
Each boy was assigned a different dinosaur to study. After receiving a question sheet, the students were asked to look up important facts about their dinosaurs and write them down. Afterwards, they shared their research with their peers. The children were astounded to learn that some dinosaurs were as big as a bus or tall as a tree.
