SAR HS Hosts In-Person Open House

On Sunday, October 17, SAR High School was thrilled to host over 850 prospective eighth grade parents and students for its Open House. This was the largest gathering back in the building since the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020. As senior Noah Bodner shared in his remarks, “At SAR there is an undeniable culture of ruach… it is amazing to have the entire school come together with awe-inspiring energy to dance and sing as one community in anticipation for the arrival of Shabbat.” Noah started the Meteorology Club, which has been known to put together video forecasts and even announce “snow days.”

Prospective parents and students had the opportunity to visit classrooms, interact with senior LEADers, hear from student panelists and learn about the school’s academics, robust co-curricular offerings and student life including chesed activities, shabbatonim and so much more. As Rabbi Jonathan Kroll, SAR HS principal, said, “It was heartwarming to see so many people back in the building regardless of the need for everyone to wear a mask—the energy and excitement was palpable and we look forward to welcoming the SAR HS class of 2026 to the Hive in the fall.”
