Yachad came to North Riverdale for an SAR HS annual joint SAR-YIOZ Yachad shabbaton. The shabbaton featured lots of ruach, learning and most of all camaraderie. The shabbaton began at SAR High School with a rocking kabbalat Shabbat. Although the Yachad members arrived just in time for Shabbat, their davening, led by a Yachad advisor, was nothing short of inspirational. Following davening and a short ice breaker, the kids enjoyed dinner and zemirot together. Students stood on their chairs and led the entire group in a zemer. The evening ended with a tish that sent everyone home feeling inspired and only more excited for what was to come on Shabbat day.
Davening on Shabbat morning featured Divrei Torah from some of esteemed Yachad participants, followed by a kiddush sponsored by YIOZ. Lunch at SAR was followed by some more singing and icebreaker games. Students were given the opportunity to meet the many incredible advisors and participants of Yachad.
In the evening, students joined YIOZ for a highly spirited seudah shlishit, followed by Havdalah. Special yasher kochachem to Michal Levine and Daavi Frank for sharing some beautiful words of Torah during Shabbat. And a special thank you to Yachad club leaders for organizing this incredible shabbaton!
