The SAR Sting defeated the Ramaz Rams 48-47 in an overtime thriller. Ramaz started off the game strong, taking a commanding 24-13 lead just minutes into the second quarter. SAR clawed its way back with swarming defense and a few buckets in transition. With less than a minute left in the game, Joseph Gross’ and-one basket gave SAR a one point lead. However, on the ensuing possession, Ryan Leibowitz went one for two at the charity stripe to tie the game and force overtime. In OT, Eli Jesselson hit a pair of threes and Josh Hyman sunk a game winning free throw to give SAR the victory in this instant classic of a playoff game.
