Moriah is excited to welcome Sarah Heller as the new assistant principal, middle school Judaic studies and Jewish life. In this role she will be working with teachers on the Judaic studies team, further developing curricula and working with our programming coordinator to create meaningful and exciting informal programs to enhance our middle school atmosphere. Sarah will also be working closely with Moriah Middle School Principal Tzipporah Boim on various middle school initiatives and will teach selected courses.
Sarah previously worked in the SAR Academy Middle School for 10 years, teaching Judaic studies and math, and most recently serving as the Tanach department chair. In this role she developed and wrote new curricula, mentored teachers and worked on technology integration in the classroom. Sarah attended Shaalvim for Women, Stern College, and holds a master’s in Jewish education from the Azrieli Graduate School of Jewish Education. She has also previously worked as a division head and head of the Girls Beit Midrash program at Camp Morasha.
