Linking Northern and Central NJ, Bronx, Manhattan, Westchester and CT

It is easy to make foods that taste delicious and do not take too much time to prepare.

Makes six servings.

  • 2 Tablespoon oil
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 cup of rice
  • 2.5 cups orange juice
  • 1 Teaspoon salt
  • ⅛ Teaspoon ginger
  • ⅛ Teaspoon cinnamon

Cooking Directions:

Heat the oil in a medium sized pot and add the onion. Saute until wilted. Add the rice and stir to coat all of the grains with oil.

Stir in the orange juice and seasonings. Bring to a boil cover, simmer over low heat for 25 minutes.

For extra sparkle I would add a cinnamon stick and let it boil for the duration of the cooking.
