More than 120 students from Jewish high schools across Florida, New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania will visit Auburn to participate in community service activities, a basketball tournament among the Jewish high schools, and an All-Star basketball game against local Auburn-area high schoolers from Springwood Academy.

The visit coincides with Black History Month, reflecting Athletes For Israel’s commitment to the fight against racism.

“It has been heartbreaking to see the rise of antisemitism but it’s equally important to highlight the positive support for Israel that we’ve seen across the country,” said Daniel Posner, Chairman and Founder of Athletes For Israel. “We look forward to continuing to build bridges across cultural and religious divides and to combatting bigotry and discrimination in all forms.”

Athletes For Israel brings professional and college athletes on life-changing journeys to Israel. In 2022, Coach Bruce Pearl and members of the current Auburn basketball team joined AFI on a trip to visit Israel, marking the first time a Power 5 conference school took a preseason tour of the country. The trip included exhibition games against top Israeli teams and visits to historical and cultural sites.

Athletes For Israel is dedicated to combating antisemitism and racism while promoting a positive narrative about Israel. We bring athletes to Israel, allowing them to experience the Holy Land firsthand,  while fostering an authentic connection with its history, culture, innovation, and people. We know that millennials and younger demographics develop attitudes and form their opinions based on athletes; our aim is to inspire these athletes to share their transformative experiences across their social media platforms, thereby creating a powerful ripple effect that can inform and change the minds and hearts of their followers.
