All around the building, students participated in learning activities to mark the day.Wearing the “100 days smarter” necklaces that they made, second graders rotated through eight stations, each representing a subject area that students learn throughout the year. The stations included: writing (What was your favorite thing you learned in the first hundred days of school?), math (How many different math equations can you make that total 100?), social studies (What will life be like in 100 years?), science (How many droplets of water will fill the cup?), gym (How many jumping jacks can you do in 100 seconds?), art (Use a 1 and 0 and 0 create a masterpiece), STEM (Build something using 100 Lego pieces), music (Dance to music for 100 seconds and freeze) and fun and games (Put together a 100 piece puzzle).Other grades made paper chains with 100 links, read books that focused on the 100th day, ate special creative snacks, participated in math games, fine motor projects and much more!
