Students Share Moving Survival Stories at Yeshivat Noam Yom HaShoah Ceremony

The eighth grade graduating class at Yeshivat Noam spent the past two months discussing and learning about the Holocaust through the school’s eighth grade Living Museum, a special program designed to teach the students about the Shoah in an impactful, personal way. As a result, they were motivated to prepare a moving testimonial to those who lost their lives and survived the atrocities of the Holocaust. Their presentation on the evening of Yom HaShoah was indeed a fitting tribute. Eighty young people divided into small groups, where they recalled, through poetry, personal stories and memorabilia, the heroic and desperate acts of grandparents, great grandparents and family friends. This presentation was an amazing Kiddush Hashem as, throughout the evening, the students brought home the message of how we as a people must never forget those we lost and must continue to perpetuate the brilliance and dignity of Yiddishkeit from generation to generation.
