TABC put its 3-D printer to good use making a kiddush cup for Shabbat, another example of Torah Umadda informing the TABC curriculum. The printing was done in conjunction with TABC’s engineering class. The class begins with team building exercises to prepare students for the project-based learning that is one of the ultimate goals of the class. The engineering students then utilize the Java processing language to create graphics. Finally, the class focuses on electronics, using Arduino, an open-source electronic platform. TABC is able to afford its students opportunities the use state of the art technology, and prepare for them for the needs of the 21st century.
