TABC Hockey Splits in Double Header Against Rival Frisch

The TABC Storm took on the Frisch Cougars at home in a thrilling double header. After an exciting win last week over the Ramaz Rams, the varsity team was looking for a second victory. Both schools came out strong, especially on the defensive side of the court. Neither team could catch a break, as TABC was able to match the talent of the heavily favored Cougars. The third period ended without a goal, and the game was headed to overtime. After a hard fought game, the Cougars were able to finally find a hole in the opening seconds of overtime to secure the win. Even with the loss, TABC fought hard and played incredibly well.

The JV teams played next, and TABC opened its season hoping to avenge its loss to Frisch in last year’s playoffs. Sophomore Akiva Hain scored the first goal of the season for TABC, when he capitalized on a power play at the end of the first period. TABC scored again when a shot bounced off the Frisch goalie’s pads, and sophomore Elie Spinowitz was there to clean up the rebound. Great goaltending by sophomore Avrumi Davis helped TABC keep their strong lead. Sophomore Avraham Gellman was able to help secure the win, when in the third period he scored off of a great pass by Akiva Hain. This victory was an amazing way to open the season for TABC.
