TABC Holds Inaugural Englewood Shabbaton

On Shabbos March 1-2, dozens of TABC students headed to Englewood for TABC’s inaugural Englewood Shabbaton, the third of four community shabbatonim the school will be holding this year. Rabbi Mordy Kuessous, TABC rebbe and the associate rabbi for the Benaroya Sephardic Center at Congregation Ahavath Torah, hosted his shiur for the entire Shabbos and also opened his home to all the attendees for an energetic Friday night oneg. On Shabbos morning, students enjoyed a hot kiddush at Ahavath Torah after hearing words of Torah from their rebbe Rabbi Ben Krinsky ‘05. In the afternoon, students heard a shiur from Ahavath Torah’s Rabbi Chaim Poupko, and finally, Ms. Helen Zelig, grandmother of Benny ‘24, hosted an unforgettable seuda shelishis, which was led by TABC rebbe and Ahavath Torah Associate Rabbi, Rabbi Daniel Goldberg ‘08. Students truly appreciated the time they spent with each other and their rebbeim in a beautiful community, and TABC is excited to run future programming in Englewood. Special thanks to all the rebbeim and families who hosted and made this shabbaton possible.
