TABC JV Soccer Storming Through The Playoffs

The Storm finished the regular season with a convincing 7-3 victory at Frisch. The victory gave TABC the number one spot in the playoffs and a home game against the same Frisch squad, the only thing between them and the championship game.

The adrenaline was pumping and both teams came out ready to play. TABC struck first, but Frisch quickly returned the favor. With stifling goal-tending and continuous offensive attack scored four unanswered goals to secure a half-time lead of 5-1. The Storm came out in the third with another goal, giving them a 6-1 lead heading into the fourth. Backs to the wall, Frisch scored two answered goals in the fourth, but TABC walked away with a deicisive a 6-3 victory.

TABC goals were scored by Amiel Rimberg, 2 goals (‘16), Michael Benichou, 2 goals (‘15); Ben Book, 1 goal (‘15); and Calev Minsky, 1 goal (‘16). As always, exceptional goal-tending and game control by Rami Levine (‘15), with crushing defensive play by Doni Kilminick (‘15), Alex Malech (‘15),
Michael Benichou (‘15) and Ben Book (‘15) and solid offensive pressure and mid-court stoppages by Ben Shelling (‘15), Calev Minsky (‘15) and Amiel Rimberg (‘15).

The championship is within reach, the only remaining hurdle is a very talented team from the North Shore Hebrew Academy. The teams split the season series with North Shore, each team winning on the road.

Don’t forget to come out and cheer on the Storm.
