TABC Scholars Program Presents Projects

On Wednesday evening, May 29, eight exceptional student scholars presented at TABC’s annual Scholars Night. The event provided an opportunity for the sophomores in TABC’s Scholars Program to present the research projects they have been working on over the course of this year. The scholars each researched a topic that piqued their curiosity and worked under the guidance of a mentor with expertise in their topic of choice. Topics spanned a wide range of disciplines and included topics from free agency in Major League Baseball to the classification and permissibility of passive euthanasia in Halacha. Additionally, the freshmen in the Scholars Program presented short previews of the research projects they will soon commence which include topics such as the origins of Modern Orthodoxy, the validity of the SAT, and the societal impact of Affirmative Action. Mazal Tov to the graduating scholars (Yoni Bodoff, Jeb Fields, Elisha Grinfeld, Zach Krohn, Chaim Lipman, Akiva Meyers, Jack Nordlicht and Ezra Silber) on their immense accomplishment, as well as to co-directors of the Scholars Program, Rabbi Shaya First and Ms. Cary Riker.
