On the Monday before Purim, Rabbi Dovid Bashevkin gave a talk to the seniors entitled, “Entering Adar: Of Humor and Being Human.” Rabbi Bashevkin, who teaches at both YU’s Syms School of Business and Isaac Breuer College, is also the director of Education at NCSY. His talk was delivered in his trademark engaging and accessible style. Rabbi Bashevkin’s book on Jewish humor, “Top 5: Lists of Jewish Character and Characters,” was just released and his talk provided a timely prelude to Purim.
