Linking Northern and Central NJ, Bronx, Manhattan, Westchester and CT

On May 30, the TABC track headed out in the stormy weather for the track championships at the armory to defend their winning streak five years in the running. TABC won with a score of 98 with SAR in second, scoring 42, followed by Kushner with 40, Flatbush with 30, Rambam 14, Heschel 10 and The Idea School. Leading the way for TABC was senior Joseph Segal who won the 400m and 800m, third in shot-put and fourth in long jump. Senior Asher Powers took first place in shot-put in his first ever track meet. Captain senior Yehoshua Kanarek took second place in the 55m, second in the long jump, third in the 200m and fourth in the 400m. Captain senior Gabe Greenberg took second in shot-put. Senior Avraham Kahan took second in the 1600m. Junior captain Ezra Seplowitz took third in the 3200m and fourth in the 1600m. Shmuel Yablok took third in the 800m and senior Azriel Muller took fourth in the 400m. The relay race team, composed of Kanarek, Yablok, senior Avraham Gellman and senior Boaz Simantov won the 4X200m with a time of 1:52.25, edging out Rambam who ran in 1:52.30. Overall, it was a great victory for TABC and everyone came home with first place medals and huge smiles.
